Mission
ANIKETANA GNMSS strives to improve the living standards of rural families, especially, the farming communities, poor and weaker sections with focus on natural resource management. This will be achieved by reviving faith in farming with the introduction of appropriate and environment friendly technologies aimed at long term sustainability with emphasis on community participation and empowerment.
ANIKETANA Grameena Nagara and Shaikshanabhiruddi Samsthe (ANIKETANA GNMSS) is a secular, non-political, non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to rural development in Karnataka. The organization empowers rural communities through sustainable and innovative programs, with a focus on promoting agricultural excellence and long-term sustainability.
The organization excels in forming sustainable Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), conducting action research in rain-fed farming, and running entrepreneurial programs like Raithabazar outlets and the ULUVAVANALLI UDYAMASHILATHE initiative. These efforts foster entrepreneurial behavior among young farmers and enhance market value, which is crucial for the economic and environmental well-being of the communities they serve.
In addition to their agricultural initiatives, ANIKETANA GNMSS focuses on improving community health, drinking water, and sanitation. These projects demonstrate their dedication to enhancing living conditions and ensuring the well-being of rural populations.
Skill development is another critical area where ANIKETANA GNMSS excels. As recognized training partners of the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation and Sector Skill Council, they provide valuable training and upskilling opportunities to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and individual youths.
